Éliot Grondin fell in love with snowboarding while watching the Olympic Games on TV. At just four years old, after seeing Shaun White ride halfpipe, he knew: that’s what he wanted to do.
In Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, his parents, Mélanie and Jean-Francis, remember a child who never stopped moving, full of energy, curiosity, and audacity. Snowboarding came naturally to him, instinctive, fun, and driven by pure passion.
As Éliot grew, a friendship with Arnaud Gaudet sparked something bigger. With the support of their families, they helped create a local snowboard club, a place for young riders to grow, learn, and share their love of the sport. That club still exists today, keeping the community alive and thriving.
This is #ForTheLove: a series celebrating the heart of snowboarding; from childhood sparks to lifelong friendships, family support, and the unbreakable love of the ride. Every rider’s journey is unique, but the heartbeat is the same: snowboarding is where it all started.
